Supply & Purchasing Officer

Kandy Grocer is a growing Sri Lankan specialty supermarket committed to providing quality products and exceptional customer service. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a motivated and organised Supply & Purchasing Officer to join our team.

1. Key Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate purchasing activities and procurement documentation.
  2. Maintain supplier records and assist with supplier communications.
  3. Obtain quotations and compare pricing to support purchasing decisions.
  4.  Monitor supplier performance and coordinate delivery schedules.
  5. Conduct product and supplier research to support business growth.
  6. Prepare procurement reports and analyse purchasing information.
  7. Identify opportunities to improve procurement efficiency and cost effectiveness.
  8. Ensure procurement records are accurate and maintained in accordance with company procedures.

2. Skills & Qualifications

  1. A tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.
  2. Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
  3. Good computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  4. The ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
  5. Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, logistics, retail administration, wholesale, or business administration will be an advantage, but is not essential.
